ix net

Join a VM group's private overlay network (Linux only)

Usage: ix net [OPTIONS] <COMMAND>

Join a VM group's private overlay network (Linux only).

Creates a TUN device, routes the group's private address range through it, and serves <name>.ix.internal from a local DNS stub, so every member VM is reachable on any port with nothing public.

commands

  • ix net up Bring the overlay up for a group (foreground; Ctrl-C disconnects)

  • --message-format <MESSAGE_FORMAT> Error format one of: human, short, json default: human
